we are a tad behind!

Most of the time I guess I feel that people expect picture or video or something when I post, therefore I dont post if I dont have those things (we all know I ALWAYS have those things, but they may not be on the computer I am on :)

So Whats going on? We are back, safe and sound, it was a long flight back, just as we sat down in our section of three seats (which we enjoyed all to ourselves on the way over) someone sat next to Kent with a very wriggly child (I am assuming about 15 months maybe!) anyway when she was asleep she was great, when she was awake she was kicking Kent, pulling the hair on his arms, poking his TV screen, or just kicking it so it would slam down on his leg! OUCH! I have to say I have great admiration for him sitting there for 10 hours keeping his cool! YES 10 hours! going over is 8, but no as soon as they sat down and we are thinking " How will Hendrix do?" the captain announces the flight time is just over 10 hours today.. UGH What kind of flight path is that!!!!

Hendrix was awake the whole flight except for 2 short naps, but when he was awake he was great! chatting and laughing! The crash came just after we got back and April got us back safely to our car :) He fell asleep, we picked the dogs up an he then proceeded to stare at the dogs and SCREAM at the top of his lungs (for about 5 seconds) then he would stop and look at them.. then do it again! LOL

Anyway we got him fed and bathed and it was actually his regular bedtime! Now anyone that knows my kid knows he LOVES his sleep! At this point he was working on being awake from 7am to 1am UK time! He went to bed, woke up at 3am and had a bottle and then went back to sleep til 7.. that was it.. jetlag over! He was really a great traveller, doing basically the same thing going over! We were lucky this time.. we will see next time, whenever that maybe! LOL

Since we got home we relaxed, enjoyed some snow.. yup those pics are still on my camera, and relaxed some more.. we had a wonderful trip! But we are glad to all be home in our own beds :)

Going Backwards

It happened...

I got sick... WEEKS of keeping us all healthy has ended in me with a stinking cold! I was sent to bed today after everyone left :( We cancelled London in favor of staying at dads, also BA helped mess up the reservation :( It was nice for Kent today and go and watch Chelsea play at the local pub, with my sister, her boyfriend and her friend. The baby and I hung out at home and slept :)

I still feel crappy... but I am headed to bed, and hoping for a new me in the morning :)

So lets hope the achey, sore throat and general crappyness goes away in the AM so we can go to Stratford :)

Hendrix is official :)

Heres a few little videos from Hendrixs baptism, it was an amazing day, Dad did an amazing job of welcoming him to his church, as did the people of Deddington. The ceremony, was funny, thoughtful and moving and I am so glad we chose to have Dad be the one to baptise Hendrix. Hendrix enjoyed it mostly, talking and laughing in the middle of any quiet time! LOL

ASHER DAVID was born yesterday morning to our friends Kristin and Jesse, I havent gotten there to see him yet.. Kristin had to have surgery and want her to heal a little before we all barge in!

Congratulations guys! we love all these boys! :)

Yet again Hendrix posed for me.. and hes getting really good at it.. hes so smily and happy, hes starting to come out of himself a little and show some true colors, whether its yelling when you walk away and when you go back he laughs at you, or actualy starting to snuggle on you :) I love that part!

A christmas pic of Hendrix and I..I got in one so those that havent see could see my hair.. not that you can see it too well here :) But I like it and its super easy to do! :)

Hendrix is such a smiley happy well mannered baby, so its very hard right now to watch him and this teething :*( it seems he may be trying to get all 4 of his front teeth at once. Last night he woke up screaming before we went to bed, and we gave him some tylenol, then I said.. shall I get some orajel! Kent quickly replied yes and I jumped in the car! I got back gave him some comforted him put him back to bed and he went straight back to sleep.. As I came back out Kent said "wow thats what its really like to have a baby, that was a rough 20 mins!" LOL I had to laugh, as the little guy slept all night and woke up today with what seems like a little nubby in his mouth! we may have a first tooth! its so swollen you cant see it though.

So now we got to bed wondering if maybe tonight we will be woken up!

yesterday was daddies birthday :) He has had a very long week! and made it home in time to open presents with Hendrix last night :) and then have a steak with mommy :)

Christmas Shopping

So one ore day of christmas shopping... and Hendrix has had it! LOL I got to the mall to meet Mimi today and i had no stroller.. the start of a great week I say... So I take in our 2 bags, our returns, and a leadweight baby! I get the car stroller that all the kids want.. and Hendrix gets in with blankets around him, as I am not sure that hes up to this yet.. turns out he loved it! :) He hung on to that stearing wheel for dear life and hung his arms out of the side..

Once Mimi left we had to go return one last thing, and by the time we got their Hendrix was fast asleep.. leaning against his shoulder.. he didnt look comfortable but he refused to wake up! LOL My son can sleep anywhere!.. and boy did he get some looks.. all this says to me is TOO MUCH SHOPPING MUMMY!

Thank god for camera phones.. otherwise moments like this might be lost! :)

'Tis the season!

Christmas is comign SOOO fast.. and I have been so busy I am scared its going to zooom right past me! :( I am hoping to be done next Mon/Tue and be able to relax and enjoy the season with Hendrix...

Today was a cool day we did holiday stuff.. we went and donated our angel gifts.. I took a picture of him with the gifts.. something else to remember!.. he charmed the pants of the ladies there (well not literally) but we told them we would be back every year, and I cant wait for him to be old enough to choose the toys to donate himself.. (daddy wont like it though - he loved buying spiderman and transformers stuff!). Then we went to Willowbend and visited with Santa number 2... he was very good.. I have that pic too but not right here! :) I will post that soon!

Tonight Kent and I noticed how hes changing (Hendrix not Kent) hes so smiley now.. and has his funny haha smile and then he has a cheese ball smile - or as mimi and papaw call it.. his bitter beer face... Its the cutest thing ever. Tonight we caught him looking into the mirror on his exersaucer and he stares and gets closer and closer and the cheese ball smiles and just cracks up at himself! Its the cutest thing! Hes getting very playful and charming, he is so much fun to be around!

My sick baby

Awwww doesnt he look sick! well ok maybe not.. but hes had some yukkyness this week that he is not sad to share with all of us!

Hendrix really is a blessing.. hes always happy and a joy to be around, but even sick he smiles and laughs.. even if its crackly and raspy! After taking him to the dr and getting 2 prescriptions I realise that he scares me with his sunny disposition! Its so hard to know how unhappy he might be!!! :(

Well I am still busy but I had to take a moment to post this pic of Hendrix! We went to see Santa and he was sooo good! :) He actually kinda liked the big guy!

Hes growing so fast.. and as I sat with him tonight he is just the sweetest thing, he touches your face so lightly (well me, he kinda grabs at daddy) and hes trying so hard to talk to you.. I know that there are going to be many times in the future when your kids stress you out or he does something that will make me crazy.. but to just remember he smiling and looking up at you.. he just melts my heart!

Bad Mommy!

So I have apparently neglected both of my blogs lately :(

Theres not much to tell.. Hendrix turned 6 months, and yes I have lots of pics just havent been through them just yet. Hes growing like a weed! and LOVING his food.

Its getting a little chilly here and hes not really liking that, it wakes him up I think when he gets cold. But its not quite cold enough to get the heat on. Plus is going to be warm again today,.. its so hard to know one day to the next here!

This is what he does for most of the day... his hands are still so interesting to him.. after a month.. its crazy!

Our unsuccessful attempt at make Auntie L's great cupcakes... Kent is the baker in our house, and he worked carefully following instructions to make the cupcakes, and then went to the store to get charcoal, he told me to watch them and check them when the timer went off.. well I open the oven to find them spilling over and all over the oven! My first though was OMG I suck at baking and its all going to be my fault! LOL luckily Kent understood our mistake (filling them up too much). Right before dinner I asked him to "put them away" jokingly he said.. if I do that I wont be able to eat my dinner.. joker huh! so there he is putting them in the cake stand, EATING the parts of the side that had spilled over.. he said it was prefectly good cake ... alas he was not hungry for dinner! LOL
